FALL STRUCTURE
For Tackle Football PAAL uses AYF rules. PAAL uses NFL FLAG rules for Flag.
PAAL has 2 seasons, Spring (NFL FLAG) and Fall (NFL FLAG and tackle)
PAAL has 5 eligible age brackets which are available to both Boys and Girls with no discrimination against their size or weight.
PAAL is a League that provides:
- Structure
- Standardized AYF Football & Cheer Rules
- AYF Playoff System
- Scholastic Excellence Program
- Mentor And Advocacy Program (MAAP)
Each Organization that is apart of PAAL is independently owned and operated.
MEMBERSHIP
- The Fall season is based 5 age brackets.
- In the Fall Organizations must be a PAAL member.
- Association. An Association is an autonomous organization, whether legally formed or not, assembled for the purpose of organizing and operating a youth football and/or cheer program. Locales, cities, towns or community groups may organize associations.
- Team. A Team is defined as a collection of a maximum of 30 participants, who are grouped within an age and weight class such as: Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Midget, etc. and who play and or intend to play football.
ELIGIBILITY
- Eligibility of an athlete is determined as of 7/31/23 current year.
GAMES
- In the Fall there are 8 regular season games and postseason playoffs.
- Touch Down For Tots, PAAL NFL Flag, and 8U, 10U are 10-minute quarters while the 12U, 14U are 12-minute quarters. Semi-running clock.
- We will playing in the AYF Division 2
- During the regular season there may be travel between a major city and the surrounding towns. Gate fees may be charged. And games may be played on Saturdays and Sundays!
- During the playoffs there will be travel across the state, gate fees will be charged and games may be played on Sundays!
